Successful participants will unlock the second stage, unlocking deeper investment opportunities and expanded testing grounds.

What do they offer?

• Startup Track
  • Weekly workshops on market expansion, legal structuring, pilot design, and regulatory alignment
  • Targeted advisory sessions with mobility experts and business mentors
  • High-level workshop sessions to help you understand how to work with public institutions, apply for tenders, and navigate procurement processes
  • Investor and corporate matchmaking with municipalities, investors, and mobility stakeholders
  • Support for pilot projects in partnership with Romanian cities and corporates
  • Up to 20k euro/ startup in financial support per startup to establish a presence in the region
  • High-potential startups may be included in EIT Urban Mobility’s investment pipeline following an evaluation based on standardized criteria provided by EIT UM.
• Venture Building Track
  • Weekly workshops on MVP development, market validation, legal setup, and go-to-market strategies
  • 1:1 mentorship on business modeling, fundraising, and early customer engagement
  • Guidance for investment readiness and funding strategy
  • Up to 20k euro/ startup in financial support per team (lump-sum subgrant for incorporation and development)

  • For registered SMEs:
    • This track targets startups that are already registered as legal entities in EU Member States or Horizon Europe associated countries and are interested in entering the Romanian market by:
      • Establishing a subsidiary in the West Region of Romania, or

  • For early-stage teams:
    • This track is open to teams of individuals with innovative ideas in the field of mobility, who:
      • Are residents of an EU Member State or a Horizon Europe associated country, and
      • Intend to establish a new startup in the West Region of Romania by the end of October 2025.
