The Industry Driven Research and Development Programme is inviting Expressions of Interest for initiatives that connect industry needs with academic research and innovation.
The programme focuses on bridging the gap between academic research and industry needs, aligning academic research with real-world industrial problems, improving access to research expertise and innovation capabilities, and contributing directly or indirectly to national GDP and socio-economic development.
The initiative aims to address the challenges created by rapid technological advancement and evolving market demands by promoting closer collaboration between industry and academia.
The programme seeks to support research and development activities across priority sectors, including the automobile sector, mineral-based industries, pharmaceutical sector, rubber and polymer-based industries, food sector, industrial automation, boiler manufacturing, and other sectors of national importance.
Eligible applicants include industries, industry-university collaborations, and university-industry collaborations.
