The Finishing Independent Film Production Long Documentary scheme is now accepting applications to support the completion of successful independent Dutch feature-length documentary productions.
The scheme focuses on rewarding the success of independent, non-commissioned majority Dutch feature-length documentaries, supporting documentary completion, and recognising films that achieve exceptional success without receiving a production grant from the Fund.
The scheme is available for Dutch feature-length documentaries that have not received a production grant from the Fund but have achieved exceptional success. The contribution aims to reward independent documentaries produced without commission.
Eligible documentaries must have a minimum duration of 70 minutes and must not be television productions, productions made within the framework of a competition, graduation films, or commissioned films. The film must also have been selected for a renowned film festival.
A one-off contribution of up to €20,000 is available for a feature-length documentary that is a majority Dutch film production.
Applications can be submitted by production companies that are legal entities and have been established in the Kingdom of the Netherlands, a member state of the EU, the EEA, or Switzerland for at least two years. The company must continuously produce and exploit films and other audiovisual productions.
The production company must be represented by a producer with demonstrable experience in professional film or television practice and experience in the relevant category. The producer may be the same person as the director or screenwriter of the film.
