Deadline Date: August 05, 2026
The Office for Veterans’ Affairs (OVA) is inviting applications for the Reducing Veteran Homelessness Programme to strengthen supported housing services for veterans who are at risk of or experiencing homelessness across the United Kingdom.
The programme focuses on improving the capacity of supported housing services, supporting veterans with high and complex needs, providing wraparound support including mental health and substance misuse services, reducing repeat homelessness, increasing long-term housing stability, improving the effectiveness and capacity of the supported housing system, reducing service bottlenecks, supporting progression towards independent living, and assisting veterans who are at risk of homelessness, currently homeless, or receiving transitional housing support.
The programme builds on the success of previous funding and introduces a stronger emphasis on veterans with higher levels of need, recognising that stable housing outcomes require both accommodation and coordinated support services. It also continues to support veterans with low and medium needs through a balanced pathway that provides appropriate assistance at the right time.
Grants of up to £1.25 million are available for organisations supporting veterans with high and complex needs, while projects supporting veterans with low to medium needs, or a combination of need levels, may apply for up to £750,000.
Eligible applicants include registered charities with at least five years of experience in providing housing for veterans, registered social housing providers, registered social landlords, registered housing associations, local authorities, and Community Interest Companies with a minimum of five years’ experience in delivering supported housing for veterans.
