The Accelerera FFI System Demonstrators call supports large-scale projects that accelerate the transition towards fossil-free, safe, equitable and efficient road transport through real-world demonstrations of mature solutions.
Focus areas: Behavior, culture; Business models; Regulations, policy and standardization (“policy”); Infrastructure, physical and digital; Technology, products, services and processes.
The funding opportunity supports full-scale system demonstrators where innovative solutions with high societal benefits are demonstrated in real environments. Projects should have a high level of technical maturity and show potential for broad implementation and scaling within a few years.
The initiative is part of the FFI Accelerera sub-programme under the Strategic Vehicle Research and Innovation (FFI) collaboration, which focuses on supporting research, innovation and development activities that contribute to sustainable road transport.
Applicants should represent broad collaborations between actors who can influence different parts of the transport system. This may include solution providers, need owners, users, research organisations and public actors working together to implement system demonstrators.
The project budget must be at least SEK 10 million, with a minimum of 50 percent co-financing. At least 25 percent of the co-financing must come from the business community. Projects can have a duration of up to 36 months.
The call is designed for organisations planning to implement full-scale system demonstrators that address all required system dimensions and demonstrate solutions that can contribute to a sustainable transformation of road transport.
