The Rural Business Development Grant Scheme is seeking applications to support eligible rural businesses in the Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council area.
The focus areas of the scheme include capital assistance for the purchase of capital equipment, enhancing sustainability, improving competitiveness, driving innovation, enabling service expansion, and supporting entry into new markets.
Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council has announced the opening of the Rural Business Development Grant Scheme for local rural businesses. The scheme offers capital assistance of up to 50% of eligible costs, with a maximum grant value of £7,500.
The funding is available to support the purchase of capital equipment that helps businesses strengthen their operations and achieve the scheme’s objectives. It is designed to assist businesses in becoming more sustainable, competitive, and innovative while creating opportunities to expand services and enter new markets.
The scheme is funded through the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA) under the Tackling Rural Poverty and Social Isolation Programme.
The grant is open to existing rural micro-businesses that employ fewer than 10 people.
