The focus areas of this programme include increasing road safety, developing safe and connected automated vehicles, improving sustainable transportation systems, integrating vehicles and infrastructure for safe transport solutions, enabling technologies and methods for safe automation, and supporting shared use of automated transport systems. It aims to support innovation that enhances road safety and advances automated mobility solutions.
The programme funds research and development activities related to safe automated vehicles, road user safety, and the integration of vehicles with infrastructure to ensure safer transport systems. It also supports enabling technologies and methods for applications in safe automation.
Vinnova provides funding of up to 50 percent for the sub-programme. Each project must include at least 25 percent business funding, and the maximum funding for preliminary and smaller studies is 500,000 SEK.
Eligible applicants include research organisations, companies, public organisations, and non-profit organisations. All projects must involve at least two participating parties.
