The Prosperity through Partnership program has launched to support initiatives that strengthen innovation, commerce, and English language development to enhance U.S.-Algerian collaboration and economic ties.
The focus areas, of the program include advancing commercial diplomacy, promoting English language learning to strengthen economic, security, and cultural ties, and promoting American innovation in Algeria’s technological transformation. The program aims to strengthen commercial relationships, expand market access for American companies, promote American business models and technology, and support entrepreneurship and artificial intelligence development. It also emphasizes building partnerships between U.S. and Algerian institutions, particularly among Algerian students, young leaders aged 18 to 35, entrepreneurs, and mid-career professionals, to improve knowledge of U.S. business and technology standards.
The program supports proposals that align with one or more of the priority program areas and encourages collaboration with American experts, organizations, institutions, or private sector companies to ensure long-term cooperation between the United States and Algeria beyond the duration of the program. Eligible project activities may include academic and professional lectures, seminars and speaker programs, artistic and cultural workshops, joint performances and exhibitions, and professional and academic exchanges and programs.
The initiative is designed to catalyze innovation and commerce while reinforcing diplomatic and economic engagement between both countries through targeted capacity building and knowledge exchange. The award ceiling for this program is $100,000, and the award floor is $5,000.
Eligible applicants include registered not-for-profit organizations such as think tanks and civil society organizations, public and private educational institutions, specialized professional individuals, public international organizations, governmental institutions, social enterprises, museums, media organizations, and other entities specialized in the project fields. Applications are encouraged from both the United States and Algeria, as well as other countries, provided the project is implemented in Algeria and aligns with the priority program areas.
