Deadline Date: August 17, 2026
The Ryde Neighbourhood Board has launched the Community Grants Programme with £100,000 funding available in 2026 to support community-led projects that create a stronger, healthier and more confident Ryde as part of the Government’s Pride in Place programme.
The programme priorities include improving public safety, health and wellbeing of Ryde residents, increasing access to learning opportunities, strengthening and sustaining volunteering opportunities, improving sport, recreational and cultural opportunities, enhancing Ryde’s natural and built environment, and supporting local business and employment.
Ryde has secured £19.5 million through the Government’s Pride in Place programme to support positive change in the town over the next ten years from 2026 to 2036. Ryde Neighbourhood Board is guiding how this funding is invested and has developed a shared vision shaped by local residents, businesses and community leaders.
The Community Grants Programme offers grants of up to £20,000 to local groups, organisations, businesses and individuals for projects that respond to local needs and provide clear community benefits. Applications should demonstrate that projects are well planned, achievable, financially realistic and provide value for money.
Funding can support both activity and equipment costs for projects that are additional to an organisation’s usual work, with clear aims and completion plans. Projects must meet relevant legal and insurance requirements and should be completed within 12 months.
Eligible applicants include registered charities, community interest companies, voluntary and community groups, commercial enterprises and individuals. Community organisations must have a constitution or set of rules and a bank account, while businesses may need to provide their latest accounts and individuals may be required to provide references.
