Eureka Singapore–Canada Bilateral Call for Joint R and D Innovation Projects

The programme focuses on international R&D collaboration between Singapore and Canada, development of innovative products, processes and services with commercial potential, support for startups in co-innovation projects, and priority sectors including artificial intelligence, digital technologies, biotechnology, green technology, supply chain logistics, robotics, advanced materials, quantum technologies, marine economy, agritech and food security, along with eligibility requirements for consortium-based participation and balanced project funding distribution.

The Eureka Singapore–Canada Bilateral Call is jointly administered by Enterprise Singapore, the Global Affairs Canada Trade Commissioner Service, and the National Research Council of Canada Industrial Research Assistance Program. It supports collaborative innovation projects between companies from Singapore and Canada.

The programme is designed to help develop ready-to-market solutions that include products, technology-based services, or methods with strong commercial potential. It encourages companies to engage in joint R&D efforts aimed at solving real-world challenges and enabling business expansion.

Funding support is available for Singapore companies, with up to 70% of project costs potentially covered. Each project proposal must be submitted jointly by Singapore and Canadian partners to be considered for evaluation.

Eligible projects must involve international cooperation, focus on research and development of innovative solutions, and be intended for commercialisation with civilian applications. Each consortium must include at least one company from Singapore and one from Canada, and no single partner or country may contribute more than 70% of the total project budget.
