Deadline Date: June 21, 2026
The Aqua for All has opened a call for applications from innovative and scalable water and sanitation enterprises in Cambodia seeking support under its Making Water Count programme for the 2026–2030 period.
The focus areas of this call include drinking water, sanitation, and cross-cutting themes such as climate-resilience and gender, with an overall objective of improving access to water and sanitation services aligned with SDG 6 through market-based approaches.
This initiative by Aqua for All aims to support enterprises that contribute to improved access to safe drinking water and sanitation services. Under drinking water, the programme targets safe water enterprises, household water treatment and safe storage solutions, operation and maintenance services, smart water technologies such as metering and IoT-based systems, hardware and infrastructure providers including drilling and pumping services, and water distribution solutions such as water trucking. Under sanitation, the focus includes toilet economy service providers, faecal sludge management covering collection, transportation and treatment, and circular economy solutions for human waste reuse.
The programme is designed to strengthen enterprises that can drive market transformation and long-term impact in the water and sanitation sector in Cambodia. It also encourages catalytic initiatives that can contribute to broader ecosystem development, particularly those addressing climate resilience and gender inclusion as part of their core approach.
Aqua for All provides structured financial support and technical assistance to selected enterprises through different instruments. Milestone-based grants range from EUR 50,000 to EUR 250,000 and are disbursed upon completion of agreed activities. Results-based grants range from EUR 150,000 to EUR 300,000 and are released after achievement of pre-defined, independently verified outcomes. Social Impact Incentives (SIINC) range from EUR 150,000 to EUR 400,000 and reward additional verified social impact performance beyond core business results. Technical assistance support ranges from EUR 20,000 to EUR 100,000 and is allocated for capacity building, knowledge transfer, and advisory services to strengthen enterprise capabilities.
Eligible applicants must be registered enterprises with at least two years of operations, demonstrate a clear impact mission aligned with SDG 6, and already operate in Cambodia. They should have at least proof-of-concept for their core products or services, deliver water and sanitation solutions through a market-based or commercial approach, and either be financially sustainable or have a clear pathway toward sustainability.
