The Student Founder Bootcamp by Startmate is a one-day entrepreneurship program designed to help university students explore startup founding, learn the fundamentals of building a business, and gain hands-on experience working with potential co-founders and investors.
The program focuses on startup ideation, customer validation, pitching to investors, building the first version of a product, entrepreneurship fundamentals, networking with co-founders, startup investment opportunities, access to Launch Club, accelerator pathways, founder coaching, and startup career exploration.
The Student Founder Bootcamp introduces students to the complete startup-building process through practical learning and collaboration. Participants learn what startups are, how they operate, and how founders turn ideas into scalable businesses. Throughout the bootcamp, students work in teams to develop ideas, engage with potential customers, and create an early product version while receiving guidance from experienced founders, operators, and investors.
The program also gives participants the opportunity to refine their pitching skills and present their ideas to Startmate’s Investment Team. Selected teams may receive a guaranteed place in Launch Club, the organisation’s pre-accelerator program, with the possibility of progressing to future investment opportunities, including the Startmate Accelerator program.
Students from all academic backgrounds are encouraged to apply, including those studying arts, engineering, music, law, science, business, and other disciplines. The bootcamp is designed for aspiring founders who are eager to create opportunities, solve problems creatively, work in fast-moving environments, and build meaningful professional connections within the startup ecosystem.
