The Open Challenge Program 9.0 by OctaNE CoE Aizawl invites startups and entrepreneurs to participate in a competitive platform designed to foster innovation within the Gaming and Entertainment sector.
The focus areas of this program include incubation of startups in gaming and entertainment, provision of mentorship and seed capital assistance, marketing support including intellectual property protection, employment generation through innovative startups, promotion of innovation and technology adoption among students and professionals, identification and resolution of local industry challenges, facilitation of e-commerce activities and applications, and development of solutions within the gaming and entertainment sector.
This program is designed as part of the OctaNE Centre of Excellence in Aizawl, Mizoram, and is aimed at supporting technological advancement in the gaming and entertainment industry. It offers a structured opportunity for early-stage and aspiring tech entrepreneurs to access incubation support and industry-relevant resources.
Through the Open Challenge Program, selected startups receive support through strategic networking opportunities, seed funding assistance, mentorship, training, marketing guidance, patenting support, and access to advanced incubation facilities, including labs, tools, and software.
The initiative also seeks to foster a strong innovation culture by encouraging entrepreneurs to develop solutions that address real industry challenges while contributing to employment creation and economic growth in the sector.
Eligibility is open to startups incorporated as private limited companies, registered partnership firms, or limited liability partnerships. Applicants may also include unregistered entities at the application stage, provided they complete incorporation within the required timeframe if selected. Startups must be less than 10 years old, have an annual turnover not exceeding Rs. 100 crore, and must not be formed through the splitting or reconstruction of an existing business. They should also focus on innovation and demonstrate potential for employment generation and value creation.
