The CarbonX 2.0 Boundless Innovation Program offers global early-stage teams support, funding, and industrial piloting opportunities to advance breakthrough low-carbon technologies.
The program focuses on supporting emerging technologies in CCUS, carbon removal, and long-duration energy storage, accelerating the development and large-scale application of low-carbon building materials, and building first-of-its-kind pilot projects while incubating high-potential startups and capacity building initiatives.
CarbonX 2.0 targets innovative solutions that reduce embodied carbon in the building and construction sector, including emissions generated during material production, transportation, and construction, and emphasizes systematic measurement, reporting, and verification of carbon reduction and sequestration benefits.
The program is open to global teams, including universities, research institutions, startups, and other suppliers of innovative building materials, with the requirement that applicants can supply materials to the Dachan Bay project site in Shenzhen, China. Selected participants will benefit from catalytic funding, technical resources, and the opportunity to integrate their solutions into real-world industrial projects, fostering large-scale impact in the low-carbon technology sector.
