Deadline Date: April 01, 2026
The Grantham Foundation Detox Awards is seeking applications to support transformative innovations that make food, agriculture, and the environment safer for people and the planet.
The focus areas for the awards include agricultural solutions, pesticide alternatives, precision farming and robotics, digital advisory solutions, food contact material innovations, bio-based and biodegradable materials, non-toxic adhesives, advanced recycling and decontamination technologies, and additional innovative approaches aimed at mitigating toxicity.
As part of the Innovation Challenge, Future Fit Asia will host the Grantham Foundation Detox Awards, delivered in partnership with Deep Science Ventures and backed by the Grantham Foundation for the Protection of the Environment. The awards provide two prizes totaling USD 90,000 in catalytic, non-dilutive funding for breakthrough innovations. Unlike the main Innovation Challenge, the Detox Awards are open to both startups and academic teams, recognizing that many of the most important advances in this field originate in research labs as well as in early-stage companies.
The awards support bold innovators tackling toxicity across food, agriculture, and materials systems. Two outstanding teams-one startup and one academic team-will be selected to receive the total prize value. This approach encourages solutions with real-world impact and acknowledges that significant breakthroughs can emerge from both academic research and early-stage entrepreneurial ventures.
