Deadline: 30-April-2026
The Innovation Ecosystem Grant is designed to strengthen the ACT’s energy innovation landscape by supporting the development of innovation clusters and business accelerators.
This funding stream provides opportunities for ACT-based organisations to foster collaboration, investment, and the commercialisation of energy technologies both locally and in broader markets. The grant offers up to $3.25 million over five years, with individual grants ranging from $30,000 to $300,000 (excluding GST). Funding supports two key areas: Innovation Clusters, which aim to build networks, knowledge-sharing platforms, investor access, and international visibility; and Business Accelerators, which help turn ACT-based prototypes into commercially viable products and services. Applications are accepted year-round, with two assessment rounds annually.
Eligible applicants must hold an Australian Business Number (ABN), maintain required insurances including $10 million public liability, be ACT-based or have the majority of funded activities in the ACT, contribute to the ACT’s 2045 net zero target, comply with GST requirements if applicable, and ensure projects do not duplicate existing government initiatives. Businesses supporting First Nations communities or vulnerable populations are especially encouraged to apply.
