The Miller Center Accelerator Program is designed to support social enterprise leaders in scaling their mission-driven organizations through mentorship, structured guidance, and strategic business development support.
The program focuses on social enterprises addressing poverty through women’s economic power and/or climate resilience, with an emphasis on strengthening organizational growth, scaling impact beyond current operations, and building sustainable business models supported by leadership development, investment readiness, and strategic planning.
The Miller Center Accelerator Program equips social enterprise leaders with tailored support over a six-month period, combining executive mentorship and leadership coaching to strengthen long-term impact strategies. The program is designed to help participants refine their business models, improve funding strategies, and develop actionable plans that support organizational scaling and investment readiness.
The accelerator follows a customized learning path that focuses only on the most relevant needs of each participating organization. Through consistent engagement with experienced mentors, leaders work on identifying gaps and opportunities in their operations while building stronger financial and operational foundations for growth.
Participants are expected to be senior leaders within their organizations and must have the capacity to actively engage in weekly mentorship sessions and dedicated work on strategic planning. The program also requires strong communication skills, digital accessibility, and familiarity with basic financial tools to ensure effective participation and implementation of guidance.
Eligible organizations must demonstrate a clear commitment to creating positive social impact for communities affected by poverty and show readiness to scale their solutions beyond current operations. They must also operate a viable business model with stable revenue generation, sufficient staffing capacity, and financial sustainability to support continued growth.
Through its structured mentorship approach and focus on long-term scalability, the Miller Center Accelerator Program aims to strengthen social enterprises working at the intersection of poverty reduction, women’s empowerment, and climate resilience, enabling them to expand their reach and deepen their impact.
