The Project Support Grant is currently accepting applications to strengthen film, television, digital media, and technology projects seeking to expand their impact.
The focus areas, of the program include grant writing support, marketing plan development, investment readiness, market visibility, audience engagement, project discoverability, increased investment in local creative projects, and enhanced local, national, and international recognition of projects.
The Project Support Grant is designed to provide film, television, digital media, and technology ventures with the professional expertise needed to build a strong foundation for long-term growth. Rather than focusing solely on production, the program supports activities that help projects scale and attract additional opportunities.
Funding can be used to retain professional grant writers who can identify and pursue larger-scale funding opportunities. It can also support the engagement of specialized marketing consultants to create comprehensive strategies for distribution, audience engagement, and project visibility ahead of release.
The program offers up to $2,000 per application for Grant Writing Support and up to $2,000 per application for Marketing Plan Development.
The grant is open to incorporated screen media companies based in the Edmonton region that are directly involved in the creation of film, television, video game, or digital media projects and are in good standing with Edmonton Screen.
Funding is available on a project-specific basis. For the Grant Writing stream, projects must be in the development stage and be investment-ready. For the Marketing Plan Development stream, projects must be in production and preparing for release.
