The Cyber Accelerator Programme provides support to early-stage cybersecurity teams in transforming innovative ideas into market-ready solutions through structured development and funding.
The programme focuses on the use of artificial intelligence in cybersecurity, AI security, post-quantum cryptography, automation of cybersecurity processes, threat intelligence analysis and forecasting, prevention of fraud and social engineering, cybersecurity automation, tools for quantum-resistant cryptographic transitions, and emerging future technologies including space-related cybersecurity solutions.
The initiative is designed for teams aiming to build scalable cybersecurity products while addressing the growing risks associated with digitalisation and technological advancement. They support participants in refining their value proposition, validating customer problems, developing business models, building capable teams, creating prototypes or MVPs, and preparing for market entry and investor readiness. The programme also enables participants to work on intellectual property protection and piloting their solutions in real-world scenarios.
Participants receive up to €60,000 in funding, which is fully covered at 100 percent and allocated across mentoring consultations, market validation activities, and product development expenses. In addition to financial support, they provide access to dedicated mentors in business and cybersecurity, domain experts in areas such as legal and marketing, specialised training, workspace at Tehnopol Startup Incubator, and opportunities to connect with investors and partners.
The programme is open to student teams, researchers, startup founders, and SME spin-offs working on cybersecurity solutions. To be eligible, applicants must have a cybersecurity-focused business idea, a team with relevant expertise, and either an MVP or the ability to develop one during the programme. Additionally, applicants must be early-stage SMEs registered in Estonia, comply with financial and legal requirements, and demonstrate the capability to execute a project that contributes to innovative cybersecurity product development.
