TIDES Technology Incubation and Entrepreneurship Development Society at IIT Roorkee is a state-of-the-art incubator engaged in accelerated incubation, entrepreneurship, technology transfer, and commercialization.
The world-class bio-incubator facility at TIDES has been supported by Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC), Government of India, for providing a platform to facilitate unique ideas and technologies with the infrastructure, expertise, and experience available with the facility and alumni of IIT Roorkee, it is the country’s leading incubation system for nurturing ideas into commercially viable products.
Objectives
- Enabling entrepreneurs in life sciences and med-tech space to translate idea/proof-of-concept – level projects into commercial ventures
Focus Areas
- All areas of Life science, particularly:
- Healthcare
- AgriTech & herbals Industrial
- Biotechnology and Bioengineering
- Bioinformatics
- HealthTech and MedTech
- Bio-Services
- Bio-economy
Duration
- 6 months to three years
Eligibility Criteria
- Both individuals and registered startups can apply however, if selected, the individuals have to register a company within 3 months of the selection.
- Any Indian citizen, sole or with a team, can apply for the program.
- If applying through legal entities, applying entities should fall within the definition of Startup as given by Startup India
- The founders are expected to show full commitment towards the startup idea during the incubation program
