The Grant-in-Aid Incubation Program is designed to empower early-stage agri-startups and student innovators by providing financial support, expert mentoring, and market access to transform promising ideas into scalable and sustainable agricultural solutions.
The program focuses on farm mechanization, precision agriculture, supply chain and agriculture logistics, post-harvest and food technology with value addition, waste to wealth and green energy, agriculture allied sectors, agri fintech, agricultural inputs and biotechnology, natural resource management, and agriculture extension and education.
This incubation program is designed to nurture early-stage ideas and startups by transforming them into sustainable businesses within the agriculture ecosystem. It offers a comprehensive support system that includes access to business and technology validation, mentoring from industry experts, market linkages, and connections that help innovators bring their ideas to life. Selected participants are guided through a structured process that ensures their ideas are both viable and scalable.
In the first phase, participants undergo a one-month online incubation program where they engage in mentoring and coaching sessions with technical experts, business leaders, and thought leaders. During this stage, their prototypes are rigorously evaluated through technical validation, business assessments, and intellectual property checks. This process prepares the participants to refine their products and present them to a panel of experts, where selected startups become eligible for incubation support and a grant-in-aid of up to INR 5,00,000.
The second phase includes a 15-day training program where selected startups receive the grant in one installment to support the commercial launch of their product. Along with financial support, participants benefit from continued mentoring to strengthen their business operations, expand market connections, and build strategies for scaling. The program also provides opportunities for field trials and pilot implementations, helping startups test and improve their solutions in real-world conditions.
Through this initiative, startups not only enhance their product development and business understanding but also build a strong professional network and gain access to future funding opportunities, positioning them for long-term growth and impact in the agricultural sector.
