The accelerator program “Start your business adventure in Makedonska Kamenica” including training for entrepreneurs and financial support, is a pilot activity as part of the project “Sustainable Development for Makedonska Kamenica”.
The program includes an intensive training program that aims to help individual applicants, newly established companies (start-ups) and existing micro and small companies transform their ideas into successful businesses, through mentoring, education, networking and financing.
Aims
- The program aims to stimulate local economic development in the municipality of Makedonska Kamenica, within the framework of the following strategic goals:
- Support for skills upgrading, entrepreneurship and support for micro and small enterprises
- Developing sustainable tourism
- Stimulating sustainable agricultural development
Priority Areas
- Tourism development: active, rural and historical-monastic
- Agricultural development
Funding Information
- Candidates who successfully complete the accelerator program and meet the criteria for receiving a grant will qualify for the opportunity to apply for funding for project ideas.
- The total available fund intended for financing project ideas within this pilot activity is 50,000 Euros.
- The minimum amount for financing a project idea must be 5,000 Euros, and the maximum requested amount for financing is 20,000 Euros.
- Mandatory co-financing of 20% of the amount of the requested grant by the implementer of the project idea.
Time Frame
- The accelerator program, including training, funding of project ideas and implementation of projects, will be implemented in the period from February 2025 to December 2025.
Eligibility Criteria
- Individuals and teams
- Micro and small companies (up to 100,000 euros annual turnover for the previous fiscal year)
- Non-governmental organizations – minimum one year of existence by the date of grant application
- Suitable location for project implementation: The economic activity proposed by the applicants must take place in the municipality of Makedonska Kamenica and its surroundings. The municipality of Makedonska Kamenica includes: Todorovci, Lukovica, Kostin Dol, Kosevica, Moštica, Dulica, Sasa, Cera and the city of Makedonska Kamenica.
