Amrita Technology Business Incubator (India)

Applications are now open for the Amrita Technology Business Incubator, a non-profit startup incubator supported by Govt. of India and Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham that funds, mentors and nurtures ideas, startups and entrepreneurs.

Programs

  • Startup India Seed Fund Scheme (SISFS)
    • Created by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) with an outlay of Rs 945 Crore, aims to provide financial assistance to startups for proof of concept, prototype development, product trials, market entry and commercialization.
    • Amrita TBI is a partner incubator with DPIIT to implement SISFS and disburse funds to selected startups.
  • Amrita TBI NIDHI – Entrepreneur-in-Residence (EIR)
    • To inspire the best talents to be entrepreneurs, minimise the risk involved in pursuing start-ups, and to partially set off their opportunity costs of high paying jobs, NSTEDB has introduced NIDHI-Entrepreneurs-in-Residence EIR) Programme.
  • Incubation
    • Funding is provided to prospective companies by means of loan and/or equity Government of India- NSTEDB-Seed Support System program, DST Technology Development Board(TDB) program, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology -TIDE program and MSME program. Amrita TBI also works with VC funds in India that can invest in startup companies.
  • Prayas
    • If you have a great innovative idea and are looking for funding, then Amrita TBI PRAYAS is the perfect platform to transform your ideas into prototypes/products. Amrita TBI PRAYAS is a unique initiative by Amrita TBI and supported by NIDHI, NSTEDB, Department of Science and Technology, Government of India to find and provide grants to the most promising ideas/startups in India.
  • PitchFest
    • If you have a great innovative idea or product and are looking for funding, Amrita TBI PitchFest is the perfect platform to showcase your ideas/products. PitchFest is a unique initiative by Amrita TBI to find the most promising startups of India.
  • Accelerator
    • Amrita TBI Accelerator is a fast paced program with a combination of the best practices to help early stage start-ups evolve into successful ventures. The startups can raise funding from invited external investors and Amrita TBI on the Demo Day.

      • Up to Rs. 20 Lakhs as a grant for validation of Proof of Concept/ prototype development/product trials.
      • Up to Rs. 50 Lakhs of investment for market entry/ commercialization/ scaling
    • Amrita TBI NIDHI – Entrepreneur-in-Residence (EIR)
      • The NIDHI-EIR Programme would provide subsistence grant upto INR 30,000 per month to an aspiring or budding entrepreneur of considerable potential for pursuing a promising technology business idea.

      • Amrita TBI can fund up to INR 1 Crore per startup.
    • Prayas
      • Total Grant Outlay up to INR 1,00,00,000
      • Amrita TBI PRAYAS program will provide a grant of up to Rs 10 Lakhs per recipient.
    • PitchFest
      • Total seed investment outlay upto USD 200,000.
    • Accelerator
      • The total seed investment from Amrita TBI for the Top-3 startups is $100,000 USD.
  • Co-working Locations
    • Incubation and co-working spaces in Kollam, Bengaluru and Coimbatore with access.
  • GST Exemption
    • No tax on revenue up to INR 50 lakhs per year for a period of 3 years.
  • NITI-Aayog
    • One of the six incubators in India selected to be made world class.
  • VC Network
    • Access to VCs and angel investors for scaled funding.
  • Mentorship
    • One -to -one mentorship from world-class mentors from India,
  • Discounted Services
    • Avail up to USD 5000 credit from AWS and discounts from a host of partners
  • Internship Pool
    • A large pool of engineering and management students from Amrita  Vishwa Vidyapeetham.
