The Start-Up Grant program is currently accepting applications to provide support and coaching to individuals in Vienna who are ready to transform innovative ideas into viable and scalable businesses.
The program focuses on supporting innovative and growth-oriented start-up ideas, enabling the development of new products and services, promoting the introduction of new technologies, assisting in business creation, providing financial support for early-stage entrepreneurs, and offering coaching, consulting, and networking opportunities for founders.
This initiative is designed for individuals who have a business idea and are prepared to establish their own venture. The program supports early-stage entrepreneurs by offering structured financial assistance over a six-month period, combined with mentoring and advisory services to help develop and implement their business concepts.
The start-up grant provides a total scholarship amount of €8,000 per person, with a maximum of three participants per project eligible for support. The funding is disbursed in three installments, consisting of an initial payment of €2,000 followed by two payments of €3,000 each. These payments are linked with access to coaching, consulting, and networking opportunities designed to support entrepreneurial development.
The duration of the program is six months, during which participants receive ongoing guidance and structured support to refine their business ideas and prepare for market entry.
Eligible applicants include individuals with an innovative and scalable business idea who are not currently engaged in self-employed economic activity. Applicants must not be participating in other public start-up employment programs or receiving related benefits. Additionally, they must demonstrate residency in Vienna for a defined period, either continuously for at least six months or with a secondary residence for at least one year.
The program is intended for those who are ready to take the next step toward launching a business and require both financial assistance and structured support to develop their idea into a functioning enterprise.
