Aims
- Verizon Small Business Digital Ready aims to equip one million small businesses with the tools, training, and resources they need to thrive in today’s digital economy. Built with and for small businesses, the Digital Ready platform offers free, on-demand courses, expert-led coaching events, peer networking opportunities, and curated resources tailored to the real-world needs of entrepreneurs.
Funding Information
- LISC will award $500,000 in grant funding, with 50 small businesses each receiving a $10,000 grant.
Eligibility Criteria
- To be eligible to apply for the Verizon Small Business Digital Ready grant, you must meet the following criteria:
- Have an account on Verizon Small Business Digital Ready and complete the resource requirement.
- Be a for-profit U.S.-based business.
- Be 18 years of age or older.
- Can share and provide proper business and financial verification documentation (W-9s, ACH) if selected as a finalist.
Ineligibility Criteria
- Non profits are not eligible to apply.
Selection Process
- LISC uses a multi-step review process to evaluate all eligible applications and ensure an objective approach. The selection process includes a combination of an algorithmic scoring system, a randomized selection component, and in-depth review of a subset of applications for factors including:
- Accuracy and completeness of the application, including optional questions
- Verification of an online business presence (e.g., business website, social media, or customer reviews)
- Impact on and/or engagement with the local community
- Clarity and feasibility of the proposed use of funds
