The Start Small Campbell Grant is designed to incentivize strategic business planning and training to increase the likelihood of long-term success for new small business ventures in Campbell County.
The purpose of the grant is to help support small businesses in Campbell County during their first few years when the grant can make the most difference in providing stability while establishing a customer base.
The Start Small Campbell Grant Program is a $5000 competitive grant offered by the Campbell County Department of Economic Development. The program offers grants to up to four Campbell County businesses per year through two semi-annual cycles.
The Start Small Campbell Grant application is structured to encourage critical thinking about different aspects of the business, including a careful competitive analysis, marketing strategy development, and goal setting which can be valuable in any business venture.
Business Eligibility Requirements
- Start-up businesses (less than 3 years old) and existing small businesses opening their first Campbell County location are eligible to apply
- Must hold a valid Campbell County business license
- All local taxes must be up-to-date.
