The SME Enhance Grant Scheme is seeking applications to support innovation, expansion, and digital transformation for improved productivity.
The scheme focuses on business expansion, diversification, innovation of operations, initial investments, productivity improvement, entrepreneurship development, facilitation of economic exploitation of new ideas, creation of new firms including through incubators, digital transformation, ICT connectivity, sustainable growth, competitiveness of SMEs, job creation in SMEs, and productive investments contributing to a smarter and more competitive economy.
The SME Enhance Grant Scheme is designed to support undertakings through non-repayable grants that co-finance investments aimed at strengthening enterprise performance. It encourages businesses to focus their investments on innovation, diversification, and expansion to improve overall productivity and economic competitiveness.
The scheme is aligned with broader policy objectives that promote a smarter and more competitive economic environment. It supports innovation-driven transformation and the use of digital technologies to enhance efficiency across businesses, research organisations, and public authorities.
A key focus of the program is to enable small and medium-sized enterprises to benefit from digitisation and technological advancement. This includes supporting initiatives that improve operational efficiency, enhance digital capabilities, and strengthen connectivity within regional and business ecosystems.
The scheme also aims to promote sustainable growth and job creation within SMEs by supporting productive investments. It encourages enterprises to adopt innovative approaches that contribute to long-term competitiveness and resilience.
The SME Enhance initiative will remain active until 31 December 2026, subject to the availability of funds. The total allocated budget for the program is €6,000,000, with a minimum grant value set at €10,000 maximum grant value is set at €128,400.
Eligible applicants include micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises engaged in economic activity, regardless of legal form, as well as eligible start-ups classified as micro and small enterprises. Entities without legal personality must be registered under the appropriate legal framework as required.
