Open Call: Dutch Drone Delta Co-Financing Innovation Program (Netherlands)

Deadline Date: July 31, 2026

The Dutch Drone Delta is inviting applications to support the development and implementation of drone solutions that contribute to safety, resilience, and operational efficiency.

The program focuses on drone innovation, societal and economic impact, practical deployment of drone applications, safety and resilience, supervision, incident response, situational awareness, critical infrastructure, public safety, port and airport environments, counter-drone issues, support for security organizations, emergency services and regulators, collaboration between stakeholders, feasibility, scalability, demonstrable added value, and knowledge sharing across the Dutch drone sector.

Dutch Drone Delta has launched this call to help promising drone applications move beyond the idea, testing, and pilot stages into practical implementation. The initiative seeks projects that address concrete challenges and demonstrate how drone technologies can create value in operational environments.

Proposals should present a clear societal or operational challenge and explain why drone or unmanned aerial technology is an appropriate solution. Applications are expected to demonstrate added value compared to existing methods, such as improvements in speed, safety, accessibility, data quality, sustainability, cost efficiency, or decision-making.

Collaboration is a key element of the program. Applicants are encouraged to involve relevant stakeholders and identify opportunities where the Dutch Drone Delta ecosystem can contribute expertise, practical experience, end-user engagement, or additional partnerships.

Projects should be realistic and demonstrate feasibility by addressing technical, legal, organizational, and operational considerations. Proposed solutions should also have the potential to be scaled and replicated in other regions or sectors.

The initiative places particular emphasis on generating lessons, insights, knowledge, formats, and working methods that can benefit the broader drone ecosystem across the Netherlands.

For selected projects, Dutch Drone Delta may provide co-financing of up to €25,000. Support may be offered through financial contributions, project hours, out-of-pocket expenses, or a combination of these forms.

The call is open to organizations in the Netherlands that wish to work with the Dutch Drone Delta ecosystem on practical drone applications. Eligible participants include companies, startups, scale-ups, government bodies, implementing organizations, educational and knowledge institutions, regional partnerships, organizations with operational challenges, entities providing test environments, and parties seeking to test, validate, or further develop drone solutions.
