The Technology Agency of the Czech Republic (TA CR) has announced the Second Public Competition providing support for research, development and innovation projects with an expected allocation of CZK 900 million and maximum support of CZK 50 million per project.
The competition focuses on supporting research, development and innovation projects, effective implementation of project results, cooperation between main beneficiaries and other participants, project financing, evaluation of achieved results, legal protection of results, and compliance with conditions established under the Support Agreement and public competition rules.
The General Terms and Conditions of the competition define the rights and obligations of the contracting parties involved in receiving and managing support. These conditions apply to beneficiaries under the Support Agreement or Decision on the provision of support and establish the framework for project implementation.
The competition requires the main beneficiary to be responsible for fulfilling all obligations towards the provider, including obligations related to other project participants. Other participants may include state organizational units, research and development organizations, legal entities, or individuals whose participation is defined in the project proposal.
The support is provided by the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic in the form of special-purpose financial resources for project implementation. Funds are transferred to the main beneficiary according to the approved project parameters and conditions set in the Support Agreement.
For multi-year projects, funds for subsequent years are transferred within 60 calendar days from the beginning of the relevant calendar year, provided that there are no restrictions caused by budget adjustments or suspension of support.
The competition includes provisions related to confidential information, project implementation periods, monitoring of achieved results, implementation plans, information systems for research and innovation, and control processes carried out to assess project objectives, financing, results and their legal protection.
Failure to meet obligations established under the agreement may result in contractual penalties, including financial penalties for delays, individual violations, and breaches of specific beneficiary responsibilities.
