The Trade Accelerator Program is inviting applications from export-ready small and medium-sized businesses to expand into international markets through training, mentorship, and export planning support.
The focus areas, include export readiness, international market expansion, trade and export strategy development, mentorship and expert-led training, customized export planning, global market navigation, business competitiveness, international trade opportunities, micro-grant support, and capacity building for small and medium-sized enterprises.
The Trade Accelerator Program is designed to help small and medium-sized businesses prepare for and succeed in global markets. It provides structured guidance, mentorship, and practical tools to support businesses in developing effective export strategies and achieving sustainable international growth.
The program offers micro-grants of $5,000 to eligible businesses that are actively implementing export growth strategies and pursuing international market opportunities.
Eligible applicants must be at least 18 years of age, Canadian citizens or permanent residents, and operating a small or medium-sized business within Toronto. Applicants must be full-time self-employed and majority owners of the business, and may be required to provide proof of business location. Participants must commit to all training and workshop components, provide proof of expenses if requested, and complete a post-program evaluation survey.
The program aims to strengthen the global competitiveness of participating businesses by equipping them with the knowledge, networks, and strategies needed to navigate international trade environments successfully.
