Deadline Date: October 01, 2026
The European Commission is seeking applications to strengthen European Digital Infrastructure Consortia through legal, operational, and strategic support to improve coordination and long-term sustainability.
The focus areas of this programme include legal and operational support for EDICs, governance and compliance strengthening under EU digital policies, coordination among Member States and stakeholders, transparency and accessibility of EDIC information, development of new EDIC initiatives, data collection and evidence generation on EDIC performance, and alignment with EU digital competitiveness and policy objectives. The total funding available for this action is €1,000,000.
This action is designed to establish a centralized Support Hub that enhances the functioning and sustainability of EDICs across Europe. It provides structured assistance to Member States, the European Commission, and EDIC entities to improve coordination, governance, and policy alignment within the digital ecosystem.
The initiative focuses on improving access to consolidated information on EDIC activities and strengthening their links with society, the economy, and European competitiveness. It also supports the identification and development of new EDIC initiatives to ensure a continuous pipeline of digital infrastructure projects.
A key component of the programme is the processing and analysis of data generated by EDICs to produce evidence-based insights, including measurable results where possible. This supports strategic decision-making and the future development of a coherent and resilient European digital ecosystem.
The Support Hub will also enhance compliance with relevant EU and national legislation, including the Digital Decade Policy Programme, while improving coordination mechanisms among existing EDICs and key stakeholders across participating countries.
Eligible applicants must be legal entities established in EU Member States, EEA countries, or countries associated with the Digital Europe Programme, and may include both public and private organisations capable of delivering digital policy and coordination support services.
