The Community and Neighbourhood Events Medium Grant Program is currently accepting applications to support local organisers in delivering public events that bring communities together in the City of Hume.
The focus areas, of this program include supporting community events that celebrate local communities, activate neighbourhoods, foster capacity building and resilience, encourage local participation, and recognise artistic and cultural strengths. It also focuses on creating opportunities for musicians, performers, food vendors, and suppliers while contributing to social wellbeing and promoting the City of Hume as a vibrant place to live and visit.
Funding of up to AUD 12,000 is available for eligible Community and Neighbourhood Events Medium grants.
The program supports organised public events that are planned for a specific purpose, open to the public, and expected to attract between 1,000 and 3,000 attendees. These events are intended to build community connection, encourage participation, and strengthen local identity.
Eligible events must be held in the City of Hume between specified funding rounds covering 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2027 or 1 January 2027 to 30 June 2027. Events must comply with public liability insurance requirements of AUD 20,000,000 and follow all necessary event permits and planning regulations.
