Call for Proposals: Water and Sanitation Enterprises (Indonesia)

Deadline Date: June 25, 2026

The Aqua for All is requesting applications from scalable and impact-driven enterprises in Indonesia to support innovative water and sanitation solutions through its Making Water Count programme for 2026–2030.

The focus areas, of this programme include improving access to water and sanitation through market-based approaches, supporting safe drinking water enterprises, household water treatment and storage solutions, operation and maintenance services, smart water technologies, hardware and infrastructure services, water distribution solutions, toilet economy services, faecal sludge management, circular economy and human waste reuse services, climate resilience, and gender inclusion.

The programme seeks catalytic and sustainable enterprises that contribute to SDG 6 by improving water and sanitation access across Indonesia. Aqua for All aims to strengthen resilient enterprises while also supporting initiatives that can create broader ecosystem impact.

Eligible enterprises may receive grant funding and/or technical assistance support to help scale their operations and strengthen their long-term sustainability. The programme supports businesses that have already achieved proof-of-concept and operate with commercial or market-based approaches.

The programme offers several funding and support instruments. Milestone-Based Grants provide funding ranging from EUR 50,000 to EUR 250,000 with implementation periods of 18 to 36 months. Results-Based Grants offer between EUR 150,000 and EUR 300,000 for projects lasting 18 to 36 months. Social Impact Incentives provide funding from EUR 150,000 to EUR 400,000 with durations between 24 and 36 months. Technical Assistance support ranges from EUR 20,000 to EUR 100,000 for activities implemented over 3 to 12 months.

Applicants must be registered entities with at least two years of operations and active business activities in Indonesia. Eligible enterprises should have a clear impact mission related to water and sanitation, provide products or services connected to the sector, and demonstrate financial sustainability or clear plans to achieve it.
