Deadline Date: April 30, 2026
The Rescom 2 Support Program for Business Incubators aims to strengthen the institutional and operational capacity of local incubators so they can better support SMEs in adopting green practices and climate change adaptation measures.
The focus areas, objectives, priorities, and themes of this program include strengthening the capacity of business incubators to integrate gender-sensitive climate approaches into their advisory, training, and support services for SMEs; modernizing and expanding incubator operations through non-monetary assistance such as equipment, goods, services, and works; integrating renewable energy systems, energy efficiency measures, climate adaptation and mitigation solutions into infrastructure; promoting sustainable waste management, water-saving technologies, landscaping, and other green solutions; and expanding the scope and diversification of incubator activities to better serve local entrepreneurs, with special attention to the economic empowerment of rural women in the agri-food sector and other climate-affected sectors.
This funding initiative is designed to transform business incubators into sustainable, inclusive, and green entrepreneurship-oriented platforms. Eligible incubators can submit project proposals with a value of up to USD 26,000 excluding VAT per project. Each proposal must include at least 5% co-financing and be implemented within a maximum period of 12 months.
The program supports initiatives that contribute to the modernization, development, and expansion of incubator activities. This includes the integration of green infrastructure solutions such as energy-efficient systems and renewable energy installations, as well as improvements that enhance environmental sustainability and operational efficiency.
Business incubators are expected to use the funding to strengthen their role in supporting SMEs, particularly by embedding climate-responsive and gender-sensitive approaches into their services. This ensures that entrepreneurial ecosystems become more resilient and better adapted to the challenges posed by climate change.
