Deadline Date: May 17, 2026
The RAISEAfrica Programme provides support to young African innovators and startups in scaling renewable energy solutions through structured acceleration and funding opportunities.
The programme focuses on entrepreneurship and renewable energy solutions, supporting ventures from early-stage ideas through development and scale-up, with emphasis on technology, manufacturing, digitalization, the water-energy-food nexus, circular economy, and new business models, all aimed at fostering innovation and scalable impact within the renewable energy sector.
The programme includes both pre-acceleration and acceleration phases designed to guide participants from concept validation to market expansion. Selected participants, up to six startups or entrepreneurs, will receive a comprehensive support package that includes mentoring and coaching, networking and visibility opportunities, and fundraising support. Participants will also gain exposure through conferences, panel discussions, meet-and-greet sessions, and site visits organized by programme partners, helping them connect with industry leaders, policymakers, and potential investors.
As part of the programme, participants will receive an entry funding amount of €3,000 and will have the opportunity to compete for the Young Talent of the Year Award, which offers a prize ranging between €5,000 and €10,000 to the most promising startup or entrepreneur at the end of the programme.
To be eligible, applicants must be between 18 and 35 years old, must either hold citizenship of an African country or have a startup registered in Africa, and their solution must address the African market within the renewable energy sector. Applicants must also demonstrate proficiency in English. Both individual entrepreneurs and groups are eligible to apply, although each applicant may submit only one application.
