The CNVP Foundation in partnership with ICEP – Verein für Globale Entwicklung are implementing a three-year project “Integrated Forest Management (IFM) along the Drin River Basin”, funded by the Austrian Development Cooperation.
The main long-term objective of the project is to contribute to climate change mitigation and sustainable development for local communities by promoting Integrated Forest Management approaches and improving the living conditions of rural communities along the Drin River in the region of Shkodra (AL), Prizren (KS), Struga (NM) and Nikshiq (MNE).
To achieve the intended objectives of the project, CNVP Albania will launch a small grant scheme for local businesses and farmers to promote and pilot new approaches and practices for environmentally friendly business activities.
The grants are intended mainly for qualified SMEs and farmers with a local presence in Shkodra County and with a mission and strategy focused on generating income. Eligible activities include citizen participation in conservation efforts, strengthening local communities, and promoting sustainable use of natural resources.
CNVP will not support, participate in or intervene in any political campaign on behalf of or in opposition to any candidate for public office. Open calls for grant proposals will be advertised on the CNVP website and social media accounts.
Funding Information
The budget framework for each application will be:
- For Farmers from €1000 to €5000.
- For SMEs from €5,000 – €10,000
Calling Field
- This Call for applications for grants for the implementation of the business plan is open to registered farmers (with NIPT farmer) and small/medium enterprises active in the administrative territory of Shkodra District, focusing on environmental protection, development society, improving the community and promoting citizen participation in the sustainable use of natural resources.
- The thematic object of this Call is determined by the following objective:
- Increase socio-economic and environmental benefits for local communities through ecosystem services, enhanced by the application of IFM methods, afforestation and biodiversity protection. The geographical scope of this call is limited to the District of Shkodra.
- Applying for a Grant The grant scheme will be implemented in two stages:
- First phase – Proposal of the concept idea for the development of the business plan / Application with a business plan for the development of the business.
- The second phase – Obtaining the grant for the implementation of the investment plan provided for in the business plan.
