The Ministry of Culture is now accepting grant applications to support the promotion of photography and strengthen the photographic sector in Spain.
The focus areas, include creation, curating, production, training, research, conservation, preservation, restoration, documentation, digitization, archiving, dissemination, publicity, and promotion of Spanish photographic heritage.
The programme is being implemented by the Directorate General of Cultural Heritage and Fine Arts through the Secretary of State for Culture for the period between June 1, 2026 and May 31, 2027. The initiative aims to strengthen photography-related activities and support projects that contribute to the preservation and promotion of Spain’s photographic heritage.
Eligible beneficiaries include non-profit entities such as associations, foundations, museums, training centres, cooperatives, research groups, art galleries, photographic groups, and festivals carrying out projects in the field of photography. For-profit entities including schools, publishers, galleries, and companies engaged in artistic, conservation, research, and photographic documentation activities may also apply.
Entities forming part of the public sector, including public administrations, consortia, joint associations, and public entities, are not eligible under this call. Groups or entities without legal personality are also excluded from applying.
The total funding available under this programme is €1,000,000.
The programme is open to legal entities operating on a for-profit or non-profit basis that implement projects related to photography and photographic heritage.
