Deadline: 8 April 2024
With the support of B.T.R. Nation, the Enthuse Foundation Child Care Grant will address this challenge head on.
Societal expectations and personal life responsibilities have held women back from their entrepreneurial dreams. According to a study published in the American Sociological Association, mothers of young children experienced the largest reduction in labor force participation between February and April 2020 (a 3.2 percentage point reduction among mothers with children younger than 6 and a 4.3 percentage point reduction among those with children 6 to 12).
According to a study done by the Department of Health and Human Services, childcare care costs an average of $11,000 per year, per child. For a budding entrepreneur, she might have to choose between a potential investor meeting or her toddler.
