Deadline Date: October 01, 2026
The European Commission is requesting grant applications to strengthen and connect National Coalitions across Europe by improving coordination, digital integration, and collaboration in the field of digital skills and employment.
The focus areas include digital skills development, digital skills and jobs coalitions, platform integration, cybersecurity skills, sectoral digital academies, interoperability of national websites, digital infrastructure connectivity, skills ecosystems, and collaboration with European digital initiatives. The total funding allocated for this initiative is €12,500,000.00. Maximum funding available is EUR 2,000,000.
The Digital Skills and Jobs Platform serves as a central hub for information related to digital skills across Europe, providing access to funding opportunities and relevant resources for stakeholders. At the national level, it connects National Coalition websites to enable the exchange of content and data related to digital skills and employment.
By 2024, 22 national websites were already connected to the platform, with additional Member State websites expected to be integrated through ongoing projects by 2026. The platform also supports the Cyber Security Skills Academy and is planned to host additional sectoral academies and initiatives.
The main objective of this initiative is to ensure the continued operation and development of the Digital Skills and Jobs Platform through maintenance, improvement, and expansion activities. It also aims to sustain and extend the work of the Digital Skills and Jobs Coalition by increasing engagement among existing and new national coalitions.
The initiative focuses on increasing the number of participating National Coalitions and encouraging greater involvement from members of the Digital Skills and Jobs Coalition. It also seeks to strengthen cooperation with related European initiatives such as the EIT Campus, EIT Digital’s (d)Academy Skills Passport Platform, and the EIT Deep Tech Talent Initiative.
The scope of the project includes expanding existing National Coalition websites established under earlier EU funding programmes and supporting the creation of new websites in Member States that do not yet have a National Coalition.
Activities include developing and connecting national coalition infrastructures to the Core Platform through interoperable systems, enabling data exchange and integration with platform components. It also includes building links that allow access to local and regional digital skills practices tailored to specific national contexts.
Further activities aim to expand and engage National Coalitions already connected to the platform, ensuring active participation and continuous development of the European digital skills ecosystem.
Eligible applicants must be legal entities established in EU Member States, including overseas countries and territories, as well as certain non-EU countries such as EEA members and countries associated with the Digital Europe Programme.
