The Barcelona City Council, through Barcelona Activa, is launching the Crea Feina Barcelona 2024 grants with the aim of promoting young talent and the competitiveness of companies.
In all cases, the person hired must be registered in Barcelona. The contracts must be permanent and full-time, except in the case of workers at risk of social exclusion.
Funding Information
- In the current edition, companies and self-employed people can receive grants of up to €8,000 for each new contract for young people under 30 years of age (the amount varies depending on the gender or situation of the person hired: unemployment, first job or long-term unemployment, or risk of exclusion), and up to €15,000 in the case of hiring staff with a doctorate degree.
Eligibility Criteria
- Your Company can apply for the Subsidy if:
- There is at least one workplace in the metropolitan area of Barcelona, where the contracted person provides their services.
- It has been operating for more than six months (in the case of hiring for the Youth line).
- You are up to date with your obligations to the Barcelona City Council (Municipal Institute of Finance), the Tax Agency and Social Security
- It is not currently affected by any occupancy regulation processes, including temporary ones.
- Sign and formalize a full-time, permanent employment contract. The contract may also be part-time for contracts with people at risk of social exclusion.
- Contracts are considered to be valid from 1 January 2024 and still in force at the time of application.
