Deadline Date: May 20, 2026
The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization has announced a call for services from production houses to develop a six-episode TV drama series focused on strengthening parent-child communication on sexual and reproductive health and rights.
The focus areas of this initiative include parent-child communication, sexual and reproductive health and rights, early and unintended pregnancy, sexual health including STIs and HIV, gender-based violence, online safety and cyberbullying, responsibility and consent, decision-making in relationships, and broader SRHR topics such as puberty and menstrual health.
This initiative by UNESCO seeks to produce a limited six-episode drama series that promotes open and constructive communication between parents and young people on sexual and reproductive health, rights, and well-being. The series is intended to serve as a conversational tool that encourages dialogue within families and communities.
The drama series will explore the complex dynamics of communication between parents, guardians, and young people on sensitive SRHR topics. It aims to highlight both the challenges and the positive impact of open discussions, while encouraging healthier and more informed relationships between generations.
Through storytelling, the series is expected to normalize conversations around SRHR and help break down barriers that prevent open communication. It will target audiences across the region and aims to inspire behavioural change by showing real-life relatable scenarios involving families and young people.
The purpose of the notice is to inform interested production houses about the requirements for the procurement process and guide them on how to obtain the official solicitation documents.
