Zensurance is seeking applications for its Small Business Grant program from all Canadian entrepreneurs, startups, and small business owners with compelling stories about their business to help them grow their business.
Funding Information
- One winner will receive a $10,000 grant as a cash deposit or equivalent.
- Five runner-up winners will each receive grants of $1,000.
What are they looking for?
- A strong submission should contain:
- Your business’s story is at the heart of your submission. Share what you do, your challenges, and what inspires you to keep going. They want to hear your unique journey.
- Your business goals. What are your short- and long-term goals? Tell them how you plan to get there.
- A plan for how you’ll use the grant. What will you do with the grant money? Outline how it’ll help you achieve your aspirations and fuel success.
Eligibility Criteria
- To be eligible for this Grant Program, you must be a budding entrepreneur and/or the owner of a small business (“participant”), for-profit, not-for-profit and social enterprises are eligible, or an employee of an eligible business with written permission from the owner, president or chief executive officer of the business, and fit the following criteria:
- Be a revenue-generating Canadian business with 1-100 employees;
- The company must have a business bank account that is not used for any personal expenditure.
- The company must not have annual revenue exceeding one million dollars ($1,000,000).
Ineligibility Criteria
- The Grant Program is void where prohibited by law, rule or regulation and is not open to residents of QUE, YT, NT, NU.
- Only one entry per business, please do not attempt to enter via multiple entrants or persons, as this may end up in disqualification from the Program.
- The entrant to the Program must be a resident of Canada who has reached the legal age of majority in their province/territory of residence at the time of entry. Employees, representatives, contractors or agents (and those with whom such persons are domiciled, whether related or not) of the Sponsor, its affiliates, advertising/promotion agencies and any other individual(s), entity or entities involved in the development, implementation, administration, judging or fulfillment of the Program are not eligible to participate in the Program.
