The HKEX Impact Funding Scheme is currently accepting applications to support local social enterprises in Hong Kong to develop innovative, impactful, and scalable community solutions.
The programme focuses on financial literacy, social empowerment, talent development, and environmental sustainability, with the aim of supporting solutions that serve diverse communities and address social and environmental challenges.
The HKEX Impact Funding Scheme has been established by the HKEX Foundation in partnership with The Hong Kong Council of Social Service. It is designed to support recognised social enterprises in developing solutions that are innovative in nature, scalable in approach, and impactful in addressing community needs across multiple sectors.
The funding provided under the scheme ranges from HKD 800,000 to HKD 2,000,000 per project. Each project is expected to have a duration of either 12 or 24 months, allowing sufficient time for implementation, testing, and scaling of proposed solutions.
Eligible applicants must be recognised local social enterprises that meet specific criteria. These include being listed on the Social Enterprise Directory managed by the HKCSS, being accredited under recognised social enterprise endorsement systems, holding approved social enterprise marks, or having previously or currently been supported by established government social enterprise funding schemes.
The initiative aims to strengthen the capacity of social enterprises to deliver long-term solutions that contribute to community development and address pressing social and environmental needs within Hong Kong.
