The Innovate UK Business Connect is requesting applications to share technical challenges in sustainable chemical supply chains and engineering biology for innovation support.
Focus areas include sustainable and resilient chemical supply chains and engineering biology, aimed at uncovering innovative solutions, external expertise, and collaborative opportunities to accelerate progress and gain competitive advantage.
The program allows selected challenge holders to participate in the Innovation Exchange (iX) process, a structured approach to source solutions outside typical supply chains and networks. This process can reveal proven technologies from other sectors, reduce duplication, bring in unavailable skills, and foster long-term collaborations and novel intellectual property.
Challenge holders will receive in-kind support from Innovate UK Business Connect to define and scope their challenge, engage potential solution providers, and explore collaboration routes. The process involves initial consultation to refine the challenge, hosting it on the Innovation Exchange platform, promotion to relevant networks, review of submitted solutions, and selection of solution providers for pitch events, either online or in person.
