Social Impact Award is accepting applications for Social Entrepreneurship events and workshops that are an open space to connect with like-minded individuals, get information on how to start a social enterprise or create a career with a positive impact, and develop project ideas.
They also provide feedback to those who are already starting a social enterprise and help them prepare their application for their incubation.
Their program helps young people learn about the field of social entrepreneurship and take the first steps towards creating a social enterprise. Since 2009, they have been encouraging young social entrepreneurs in more than 25 countries.
Benefits
- The Social Impact Award enables the most promising projects to be exposed to a wide range of stakeholders both at the national and international level, and at the same time acts as a proof of reliability for potential financial partners.
- Award recipients also receive financial support and access to their annual SIA Summit, which is an international gathering of promising social entrepreneurs from all countries participating in the SIA program.
- Incubation participants automatically compete for the Social Impact Award.
- Only those participants who participated in the entire incubation process can win the prize.
Eligibility criteria
- By maintaining consistent criteria, they succeed in realizing their vision of helping young people take their first steps in the world of social entrepreneurship. Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- In order to ensure a youth focus, all members of the core team must be between 14 and 30 years of age.
- They accept both ideas that have not yet been implemented, as well as ideas in the early stages of implementation. The latter can only be registered if the project was established after January 1 of the previous year.
- Applicants’ projects must not receive major formal funding for the start of operation before submitting the application. This means that they may not receive formal funds from external sources that exceed the value of 6,000 euros (for example, business angel investments, grants, awards, etc.).
- The applicant with the registered idea must not have previously participated in SIA incubation or received the Social Impact Award for it in previous years.
