Deadline Date: June 30, 2026
The SLINGSHOT 2026 is a global deep tech startup pitching competition designed to identify and support innovative startups through a structured application and evaluation process.
The focus areas of the competition include participation by technology-based startups, development and demonstration of innovation, submission of applications aligned with competition requirements, evaluation based on deliverables outlined in the competition brief, and opportunities to secure grant funding prizes and recognition.
The competition is open to startup participants who enter on behalf of their legally registered business entities. Each participating startup is required to designate an authorized representative who will act as the main point of contact with the organiser and participate in the competition on behalf of the company. This representative must have obtained all necessary approvals to represent the startup and handle matters related to intellectual property rights associated with the competition.
Participants are required to submit applications that meet the criteria established by the organiser and outlined in the official competition brief. The brief provides detailed information regarding submission requirements, deadlines, and evaluation parameters. All applications must be formalized through specified deliverables in order to be considered for the competition.
The competition offers significant grant funding prizes to top-performing startups. The grand winner will receive a Startup SG grant prize of 400,000 Singapore dollars, while the first runner-up and second runner-up will receive 300,000 and 200,000 Singapore dollars respectively. These awards are intended to support the growth and further development of innovative startup ventures.
Eligibility for the competition includes business entities across all sectors, provided they meet the criteria of being technology-based startups. Eligible startups must demonstrate innovation, have been registered within the past ten years in their country of origin, and must not be subsidiaries of larger corporate entities. Participants may also be required to provide proof of company registration and relevant documentation to verify their eligibility.
Through this competition, startups gain the opportunity to showcase their innovations, compete for funding, and gain recognition within the global deep tech ecosystem.
