Data centers in cloud computing are the backbone of the digital world, powering businesses, and services globally. As a participant, you’ll tackle the critical task of optimizing data center server inventory.

Prize Details
A total of EUR€13,000 in the prize pool:
- Grand Prize of cash reward of EUR 6,000 for the first team
- Second Place Prize of cash reward of EUR 4,000 for the second team
- Third Place Prizes of cash reward of EUR 1,500 for two teams placed third
- Certificates of Participation: All winners will receive a paper and electronic copy of the winning certificate, and the top 8 defenders will receive the corresponding certificates.
- Huawei’s souvenirs: All participants will have the opportunity to receive great and unique souvenirs
- A total of 4 teams will have an opportunity to get a 3-6 month paid internship, and could be fully remote/on-site. Students need to pay all the costs if they choose work on-site.
- In addition to the Hackathon Team Prizes, the Sponsor/Huawei reserves the right at its sole discretion, to offer one or more Students and / or Teams, a special invitation to travel to visit Huawei Head Office Campus, based in Shenzen, China, which invitation may be subject to availability of travel visa and confirmation of travel dates, and subject to such other additional terms and conditions which Huawei may stipulate, as part of the special invitation. Huawei will pay for the Airline Flight to China, pay for the Hotel Accommodation.
Criteria
- This Challenge is open and offered to any individual aged at least eighteen (18) years and with full legal capacity. Each eligible individual can only participate in the Challenge as part of one (1) team submitting one (1) entry only.
- Participants who have attended the Final Phase or offline Hacking Phase and attend the final event will be directly notified by email to the address provided during registration. In the event a Participant does not confirm his/her attendance at the final event, the Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify this Participant. This disqualification shall not entitle the Participant to claim any kind of compensation from the Sponsor.
- Huawei does NOT pay any travel or accommodation costs for the participants living in Ireland who are attending the Hackathon in Dublin, Ireland.
- For the UK participants, round-trip flight tickets and hotel stays during the Hackathon period can be reimbursed (only applies to the UK participants, the departure and destination must be UK/Ireland).
