Criteria
- The Circular Economy Starter Workshops are split into two different workshop modules focusing on (a) business model design (3-days) and (b) business model refinement (2-days). During the application period for the Circular Economy Starter programme, future and early-stage entrepreneurs form their teams (of between 2 – 5 members per team) and come up with their business ideas to include resource-efficient, – saving or-regenerating practices into business models that save (environmental and social) challenges in their country.
- With expert guidance, the selected teams will come together during the two workshops to develop and refine their business ideas. The time between the workshops (3 – 4 weeks) is used to test the business idea with potential customers and partners. After these workshops, teams will have proven their concept and are ready to engage partners, funders, and go to market. This Starter Programme in Kenya and India is supported by the IKEA Foundation.
