The Providus Bank SME Program, in partnership with the Enterprise Development Centre (EDC), is designed to strengthen the capacity of Nigerian business owners by equipping them with the skills, knowledge, and tools required to scale sustainably.
The program focuses on developing a comprehensive growth plan for participating businesses, strengthening leadership capacity to effectively manage teams, helping participants clearly define their business value proposition, equipping businesses with structures for long-term sustainability, and fostering networking and collaboration among entrepreneurs.
The initiative offers participants practical exposure to business growth strategies, leadership development, and market positioning. It creates an environment where entrepreneurs can refine their business models while engaging with peers and industry experts. Through this structured approach, businesses are guided toward achieving scalability and resilience in competitive markets.
Participants are expected to fully engage in the program schedule, as the training is intensive and designed to deliver measurable outcomes. The emphasis on collaboration also enables them to build meaningful professional networks that can support future business expansion.
To be eligible, the applicant must be a citizen or legal resident of Nigeria, and the business must be registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) in Nigeria. The business should have been operational for at least five years and must have a minimum annual turnover of ₦50 million. Applicants are required to maintain proper financial records and must be available to fully commit to the program schedule.
