KPMG Australia and Stone & Chalk are looking for game-changing startups creating solutions in workforce-tech for the next cohort of the Future Technology Program.
The innovative program combines the largest innovation community in Australia at Stone & Chalk with KPMG’s deep expertise and knowledge, offering startups unrivalled access to everything they need to accelerate their growth.
Five startups working in workforce-tech will receive complimentary residency for 12 months at one of Stone & Chalk’s startup hubs located in Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide as well as guidance and support from KPMG’s diverse array of mentors and industry leads who can facilitate client introductions and industry conversations.
Additionally, each Future Technology Program startup will gain a KPMG mentor tailored to their business, assisting startups in their efforts to validate, test, learn and explore genuine opportunities for growth.
What will program recipients receive?

- During the term of the Program, KPMG may also invite a Participant to discuss investment or other collaboration opportunities with KPMG. Any such offers or opportunities are at KPMG’s sole discretion and shall be on separate terms and conditions agreed between the parties. KPMG acknowledges that Participants are under no obligation to accept any offers or opportunities and acceptance by the Participant is not a condition of entry to the Program.
Who can apply?
- For the third cohort of the Future Technology Program, they’re looking for early-stage founders who are workforce-tech startups or solutions to problems faced in, but not limited to:
- Talent acquisition and retention
- Workforce skills and capabilities
- Career mobility
- Development planning
- Performance management
- Contingent workforce
- Employee engagement
- Employee impact
- Employee reward, recognition, and remuneration
- Workplace safety and compliance
- They welcome applications from founders building with all technology types.
- They also welcome applications from companies not ordinarily considered to be workforce-tech but who are working on a solution that may address problems within workforce management.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Future Technology Program, startup applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Have an existing product in-market
- Be Series A or earlier and building technology which can be applied to workforce challenges
- Be in a position to accept residency at Stone & Chalk (Melbourne, Sydney or Adelaide) 45 days from the date they have been notified in writing of being a successful applicant
- Be already operating in Australia at the time of their application for the Program, or commencing operations by December 15, 2023.
